DOES LIFE GO ON?

Contributed by BrokenHeart on Monday, 26th April 2010 @ 12:37:03 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Lonely I sit
Staring at four walls
Wishing I were with you
Not even a call

I miss your smile
Your tender touch
I am alone
Things just don’t matter much

Things happen for a reason
At least that is what they say
But without you baby
Makes for a long lonely day

I know you don’t believe
The things that are said
My heart is broken
Cause of my thick head

I’ve thought so long
And racked my brain
And my soul is cold
Like a wintery rain

I'm nothing without you
Just nothing nearly
Life goes on
But does it really

The grass is not green
The sky is not blue
Why should I try?
When I’m not with you

I’ve lost my hopes
And this I will say
My dreams are gone
I’ve lost my way

We are not perfect,
And this we knew
But us together,
It was me and you

We are put in this world
To find a mate
All I did
Was to fuel the hate

My world is over,
But not my life
Life goes on,
But it just isn’t right

I’m still in love
And will always be
To the most beautiful women
The most beautiful to me

What a beautifully heartbreaking poem. The agony and pain of losing the one we love is expressed very well in this poem. A wonderful read.
