Assets seized leaving a bottle
and stool to remind of loss
hunched shoulders weigh
new inceptions in glass reflections
glazed vision unable to peer past
Bermuda greens foreclosure
abandoned of child and first love
booze fills the vacuum
cubed crutches wield his eyes
snaring tear after tear
singles double into triples
letting the well run dry
a wallet nullified of posterity
he concedes to life’s last call

What a sad piece this is. A journey of life through amber
distortions ... and succumbing to despair, ultimately leading
to a resolute defeat. (I guess we can't all be Job, yes?)
You have such an incredible talent for description and
fill the page with such emotion, it's impossible not to feel
when reading you. I love this bit ....
hunched shoulders weigh
new inceptions in glass reflections
What brilliant wording! But really, the piece as a whole is
just exceptional.
Fantastic write! -- Achelois
