My Favorite Enemy

Topic: LovePoetry

Why don'tcha leave my dreams
Alone
Cause you can do this for me,
I know,
Instead of breakin' em down
With such brutality,
You could give me the things
We can't sell or buy.
I know, you could color me free,
Paintin' my face
In the magazines,
But don'tcha break
My dreams down
Cause this ain't worth that,
You should know.

Don't let me be,
As you're my enemy,
Comin' round from nowhere
To be all over me,
To love me
Then to leave me forever,
I don't need to feel that way,
Like I deserve nothin' better
But the pain,
Cause if this is your only aim,
Baby, you can just walk away,
I'ma keep your secret safe.

What will it do good to me now?
As you made me so hard
To trust not only me,
But the people around,
You're the reason why
I'm smilin' through the tears,
Though the pain tears me up inside,
So I can't see more better way now
But to break up, break up,
And give you all you want,
Even-though it's gonna kill me,
Before I find myself feel damn guilty
For never being loved.

Don't let me be,
As you're my enemy,
Comin' round from nowhere
To be all over me,
To love me
Then to leave me forever,
I don't need to feel that way,
Like I deserve nothin' better
But the pain,
Cause if this is your only aim,
Baby, you can just walk away,
I'ma keep your secret safe.

You're the right
I got illegally
You're the answer
On the greatest clue,
But you live on inside of me
And I don't get it at all how is that?
Yes, there's the times that I hate you,
And when I'm up to do my best
To make you leave.
These emotions takin' over me
Like the ocean waves,
And get out quite
As fast with each your kiss.
But it don't change
That you're still my favorite enemy.

Don't let me be,
As you're my enemy,
Comin' round from nowhere
To be all over me,
To love me
Then to leave me forever,
Cause I don't need to feel that way,
Like I deserve nothin' better
But the pain,
Cause if this is your only aim,
Baby, you can just walk away,
I'ma keep your secret safe.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
