Ode to Love

Contributed by ShadowMan on Friday, 23rd April 2010 @ 09:45:21 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Your eyes sparkle with the light of a thousand fireflies,
Your smile can brighten the darkest heart.
Your voice can calm a mind full of worries,
Your compassion is your strongest part.

How can I get you to see,
The amount of love I have for thee?
How can I get you to know,
The bounds, and lengths I am willing to go.

For with you, there is no equal; no compare,
No maiden so lovely, or so fair.
No greater depth, no bigger heart,
For you and I, are set apart.
My heart will always be true,
My mind will always be on you.

There is a certain amount of beautiful release with the
declaration of love for another. And you have done so
with a poetic charm. Hard to resist.

Great post! -- Achelois

I find myself agreeing with Breezy / Achelois, as I often do. However, I suppose sometimes I am the bearer of doom and gloom...really can't force someone to love you. Really like the poem, though, Nice writing.

Thanks,

Tim
