Lost
I loved her beyond reason,
My heart stops just thinking about her.
Am I a fool, a dreamer, a madman?
To believe that we would remain together forever?
Why is it in this great world of ours
That you can find and experience true perfection,
Only to have it snatched away in the blink of an eye?
She could smile, she could cry, she could admonish,
But whatever, I just wanted to hold her, assure her,
That everything was alright and always would be.
I would protect her, defend her with my very life,
But in the end she was taken from me, destroyed me,
And it was beyond my control but in God’s hand.
I am lost, abandoned; I want to be taken to her.

| Only to have it snatched away in the blink of an eye,, finding love is difficult but to have it snatched away when you have found it is so cruel,from the heart and full of sadness well written |
