Of Muses and Dreams

Contributed by Breezy on Thursday, 22nd April 2010 @ 06:45:49 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

There was a certain magic that spring;
the spring when I first knew him.
It danced and laughed deceptive
in the lost rumblings of my heart.

And when the magic all but disappeared,
I remained- counting moments;
a slave to their lost magic and sparkle
And when the dust settled, they spread life open
and he entered

He breathed vision and softly whispered starlight
into the remembrance of my dreams.
Smiling uncertain, and with a trembled beating,
he broke through isolation into connection.

His movement could charm the gods
and kindle embers borrowed from a more auspicious time;
raining down from the skies in
sparkling cascades of falling stars.

Inspiring angel, oh merciful muse,
sweet keeper of my heart,
stir the air that I might breathe you again.

Come spill fire into my dreams
and rest inside all my imaginings.

I love the introduction to 'Him' then the melting into dream world building the emotion as the heart cries out inspiring angel , oh merciful muse sweet keeper of my heart leaving us to breathe with the line that I might breathe you again, and sigh with the finish of a beautifully written poem

Ah, that spring time new love...the perfect setting. But what I found very interesting here is that it gave me a feeling of her being shy and somewhat within her shell and he...breaking her out of it.

Bravo!

Smile! to YPDC.

Tim

This piece touches me on a soul level. I can relate to these emotions and more importantly, I can feel them. Those last two stanzas slay me. Exquisite.
