My tears feel empty
But I know it’s not true
Because my tears are filled
With my love for you
I scream for you
But you don’t seem to hear
I scream for you
Because my life is full of fear
I bow my head
As the tears run down my face
I know I shouldn’t want you
But I really need your embrace
Your warm arms
I just can’t get them out of my mind
I know that I should
But your kindness made me blind
I still see you
When I close my eyes
But when they open up
All I see are your lies
You said you loved me
What was I supposed to do?
When you turned your back
Even thought I screamed for you
Now you see me sitting here
With tears falling to the floor
Because I wasn’t able
To fight my own war

| Really beautiful, but heartbreaking poem. I understand the feelings expressed in this poem very well. Keep writing, you have a wonderful way of pulling the reader into the story being told. |

This is tremendously sad. Love is such a peculiar
emotion. It has the power to make us stronger than
we've ever felt, but also weaker than we could ever
imagine. Your heart and soul was poured into this.
