The Wrong Angel

Cast an eye to reel in emptiness, send a bounty of love to receive an arrow through your spine. Spend an hour writing a poem only to watch it burn in the hands of the one you think you love. Go to bed early just to awake screaming terror because she tried to cut off your head. try to feel a moment of sun and a cloud will squirt rain into your face, and then you sit down and ask, "what have i done to deserve such terrorism?", a voice will stir and rumble in your head to say, "you gave your heart and a part of your soul to the wrong angel".

I think we can all identify with this story of unrequited love, with its frustration and misplaced hope.
Great metaphors.
