At last my salvation arrives
but no god or angels wait for me
and as the cigarette burns down
maybe at last I can set myself free

I liked this poem. The emotion in it was clear as well. I got that whomever was setting themselves free were angry, bitter, and almost indifferent about their decision. Good job poet. Good job. ;) |
