Dust, dresses the house you left
it's settled on the bed we slept
we loved
we talked
it carpets the floor we walked
we sat
we played
it covers the tables we laid
we dined
we entertained
It whispers round the garden we maintained
dust thickens the air in every room
it blankets the sound
the sound of dust
I feel it settle upon my memory
My feelings turn to dust
dead floating particals
that used to be us

This was well written and conceived. How true it is that after the end of a relationship dust settles between you, your partner, and all that you had shared. Very relatable. Thanks for sharing. |

an easily understandable read, yet profound in its depth
u used the object of dust very well in conveying your feelings/thoughts
i guess it depends if u want to start anew or give it another try
take care

I like the interpretation of a relationship turning to the very dust that prevailed during it. A good read. Aliopterix. |
