a jewel rides upon the breath
seething towards exhaustion
it is filling the lung & flowing
out upon each gasp, a whisper
ill-formed & rasping in my hear
it matters not the word
or sound
only the moist nearness
of this love-shaped thing
& I, half-learned
but noticing the essense of my interest. . .
fall towards everything you are
every grace. . .
this exacting voltage, tenders 'til
I have no fear
for surely, we are the center
delicate & fine. . .
we are understanding
we are beyond time. . . & timeless
I am yours. . .
& you are mine. . .
