turn away
as if there is no lesson here,
moaning
to be learned
no awkward face
revealing
fates conjouling ties
no creche of lips to sear with love's respite
no, not even old skin,
seeping truths
from complicated pores
oh cracked & marveling. . .
selfish mirror
a tourniquet for dreams. . .

This is just wonderful writing. It's full of amazing imagery
and poetic musings. There isn't any one line I could
single out as best--the whole piece is just so moving.
