With a family of four
It once was more
Hanging on the note
She falls to the floor
Sirens aren't calling
She longs for Your
Cell phone, stop stalling
Excel at what you do best
and let it consume you
Too much to ingest
The Nightclub ignores too
And its all happening so fast
and she's loosing her colour
Cold water smudges her blusher
Cold hands in your palms
No one passes by
And you say out loud
'I don't want you to die!'
The family would be proud
The Drums kick in for the encore
The bass line goes round and round
Stunned by what you've found
A needle on the floor
The Theme music Should play
But only the silence is heard
You don't quite know what to say
But this is no time for you to go
This isn't a TV show.

This is a real and honest piece. There is a very real
presence in the world today that few are willing to see.
You've done well to display the adrenaline and alarm
that sometimes accompanies the pursuit of fun.
Good writing. --Achelois |
