All Is Quiet

Contributed by duff on Sunday, 18th April 2010 @ 10:11:07 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

The sun escaped the sky rendering
a world he knew shivering,

waiting for the truth to lie
reality remains sincere,

rain falls in loss as
tears gather swift,

wind stills the trees quieting
all life to remember another,

thoughts abandon hope
to recovery as it’s too soon to see,
she faded leaving eyes to weather the water

I am not exactly sure what this is about...especially since it's under love/romantic poetry but the imagery is awesome.

Smile! to YPDC.

Beautiful write, that amazing feeling as the wind drops and everything takes on the stillness, the serenity of those moments highlighting loss and your need for the truth to heal, can breathe these words well written

Welcome to YPDC. ^_^

There is a softness in this that surrounds the reader and renders the heart as your title suggests. That last stanza
really inflicts a kind of pain that is not easily understood, nor quelled. The second stanza is my favourite. Depending
upon the usage and the circumstances as such, it could mean so many things. Somehow, it radiates a comfort that
holds the rest of the piece in its arms. Well done.

There is beauty in this, but also, I feel a kind of sadness.
Whatever it is in this world that holds us together, this
poem seems to have captured. So much of life is lived
and seen through someone else's eyes. We hardly know
how to breathe without them. This was very enjoyable.

Simply stunning! -- Achelois
