Last Enemy Down!

Topic: spiritual

”…Death initially came by a man, and resurrection from death came by a man. Everybody dies in Adam; everybody comes alive in Christ.

But we have to wait our turn: Christ is first, then those with him at his Coming, the grand consummation when, after crushing the opposition, he hands over his kingdom to God the Father.

He won't let up until the last enemy is down - and the very last enemy is death!” 1 Corinthians 15:21-26, MSG

This verse is a precious promise of God’s faithfulness.
Death is our worst enemy. It always has been and it always will be until Jesus comes again.

Satan has been a lion, roaring his rage since he was cast out of heaven. One after another, his attempts to destroy Jesus failed and his roar has become deafening in our ears.

But thankfully, Satan has no power over the Prince of Heavenly Power! Total and complete victory belongs to Jesus and because He lives, we also have victory over sin and death!

Yes, the enemy completely failed, but he still roams the earth, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8, NIV). Satan has been allowed to manage this earth for a while but humanely, God, is about to post a “No Trespassing” sign on Planet Earth and set a demolition date. Sin and death will be no more!

This promise is personal and creates great longing in me. I lost my son. The author of death snatched him in the prime of his young adulthood, and buried him in the dark earth. I can almost imagine him chuckling himself…

“Where I go, you go. You are one of many. When I die, I am not dying alone. I’ll see to that.”

So he roams the earth, searching for the weak, the helpless, the hopeless, the threatened, the imprisoned, the lonely and depressed.

“These are worthless,” he rages. “Who will miss them? I’ll take them down to destruction the most hurtful way I can... I’ll get them to kill themselves; to break one of my Enemy’s precious rules. That will guarantee they are mine! All mine!”

But Satan misunderstands the heart of God and His Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior. It is His tears, His blood that paid for us so long ago. He wants to bring us all to heaven with Him, not lock us out.

Death may seize us in a grip of grief and fear…for awhile, but graves will burst open when Jesus shouts from the skies.

No enemy can keep our loved ones in the ground. They will spring forth in newness of life, joyously celebrating their King.
“If we get included in Christ's sin-conquering death, we also get included in his life-saving resurrection. We know that when Jesus was raised from the dead it was a signal of the end of death-as-the-end. Never again will death have the last word.” Romans 6:8-10, MSG
Come soon Jesus, I love You!

It came when I needed it most. It's been a very trying day I have some very sick luved ones and eventually it's a matter of time for most of them.
I'm exausted but I had to say thanks and God bless.
