'So the pen is mightier than the sword?'
The butler chuckled, 'Welcome my lord,
To the art of story telling'
A parallel where reality meets imagination,
A median between all pleasures and vivid sensations.'
The butler then added a metaphor
leading me through a colorful door,
Excitement rose firmly upon my cheeks,
An exclusive tour awaited me
like fantasy from golden flicks.
Such a sight laid before virgin eyes,
I wanted to call it beauty,
yet the word failed to emphasize
this wondrous paradise where heaven lies.
The beauty was infinite, yes it was,
reaching to the horizons and sapphire stars
I then paused....
My imagination began to take flight
every thought then materialized into plain sight.
My passions, desires tangoed in fires,
my hopes, dreams lit a stray in moon beams,
poetry and ecstasy like waterfalls in depths of tranquility,
the kisses and love soon conjured a storm from above.
'An umbrella for you sir?' the Butler offered,
I took it quietly as we made our way,
The plot then thickened as did the clouds
dark suspense crept in with thunderous clouts.
My heart raced as darkness settled,
We walked only minutes in the dark
and malicious voices howled in shadows,
'Don't worry sir' the butler comfortably insisted
James Bond like, as if he rehearsed it.
I smiled as we finally reached the peak,
warm was Mount Everest to my surprise,
A gateway back to reality stood before me...
A place where responsibility is king
A place where originality is grave side,
yet its where the story telling legends abide.
The Butler gently tapped my shoulder
letting me know the tour had ended,
The dark sided mountain regained it's shine...
I then left that magical place
and laid down my discoveries in rhyme.
