And so I sat there quietly in the dark stillneses that is night as the silent inferno that was my memories and past life burned. The flickering flames illuminating the dark and deadly expession on my face as I stood up and left everything to burn, turning my back on everything that I once knew and loved.

Welcome to YPDC!
You set a very eerie tone with this and the emotions are well represented. I love the ritual of burning as a means of erasing memories.
This was an intriguing write.

Yes, welcome!
I can relate to this a lot. I've burned my
fair share of things in the past. It's a
cleansing kind of ritual. I'm not sure if
that's what you're writing of here, but
that's what it evoked in me. Nice little
write!
Be well,
~Loende |
