Five centimeters per second, I crawl;
I cannot escape this torrential rain.
It engulfs me in its deafening drawl,
Reminding me of never ending pain.
Five centimeters per second, I crawl.
With a jaded body, I try to climb,
But the ladder presented is too tall,
And I fear that I have run out of time.
Five centimeters per second, I crawl;
Creeping ever closer to the shear edge.
To what I desire most, the great fall,
For this life has driven me to this ledge.
Five centimeters per second, I crawl;
My body beckons me toward the fall.
