* Beauty of the Evening *

Contributed by venkat on Monday, 12th April 2010 @ 07:08:19 PM in AEST
Topic: PoemsonBeauty

At evening I wish for
A little bit of fresh air
And a little bit of music;
A little bit of blue sky
Or a little bit of darkness
With some tension in the air;
Other wise life becomes
A leafless tree in a desert!
~*~
Breeze whispered - that
A divine flower blossomed
Then I visited the flower
It was a wonderful sunrise.
I folded my hands unawares
And submitted my self
To its radiance.
Each one of its petals
Is pregnant with secrets
Of heavenly rainbows.
In that moment the evening
Appeared in its pristine
Nakedness before the eye.
Then it dawned in me that
A waterfall is not the downfall
Of water and that a tear drop
Is not a symbol of sorrow!
~*~
In that experience of evening
When boundaries between
Happiness and sorrow vanished
I was filled with the most
Beautiful orgy of pure light.
That night in fact a storm
Came in and the moon
Was blown off from the sky!

~*~

Beautiful as always, Venkat. I also know tat English is not your main language so that makes this even more challenging for you. That is phenomenal because you actually write better than a lot of us English speaking dudes.

Take care,

Tim

Hi,

An excellent piece of poetry.
Deserving of musical accompaniment.

My dearest and most honorable Venkat....

This was true beauty and radiance. Just
a lovely, lyrical read that left me sighing.

"A waterfall is not the downfall
Of water and that a tear drop
Is not a symbol of sorrow!
"

These three lines, they just sang to me...
I guess that I needed to remember that,
so thank you, my friend.

WONDERFUL write.

Love,
~dawn
