Stained my hands
And it’s the end now
Things are looking up
People don’t see how
But its going to be ok
Because after today
Won’t matter what they say
Laying on my back
Ive done my deeds
Tied off loose ends
Checking my watch to see
If I can leave yet
Not for the faint hearted
Too easily departed
And I cant help but be who I was
Sliding on my own
This is for me and not for us
What happened to the trust
When there was no burden
We must have been children
Just fuelled by lust
I want to miss them
I’m in the clean summer air
On the tennis court
Thinking of the fair
And when we never fought
Automobile thinking of them
Speaker christened with jack Johnson
The quiet speaks to me
Lay down
Lay down
Look up and out
Its all for me now
Lay down
Lay down
Down.
