‘Theres no place like home’
Etched on her arm with a tattoo gun
You wouldn’t know that she was on the run
And waste deep in methadrone
Like a thought to the wind she is gone
Children are sheltered from what shes been on

Wow, this sure packs a punch, and captured in such a short and concise style! Excellent job. |

The ending is a modicum to open to interpretation for my taste, but the poem makes up for it with very poignant musicality. |

what a sad story/tragedy...
there's nothing worse than being abandoned
esp. for the kids...
and unsettling how this happens everyday.
this poem tells so much
take care
