Warm feathers rest on a branch,
cold feathers soar into the air,
from Northern frost to Southern
heat, thousands upon thousands
of families- forming a flock, painting
a portrait in the sky, thriving purely
on adrenaline and the instinct
to survive; wings thrusting, gliding
on toasty air streams, cold feathers
begin to transform to warm, their
vacation nest is in view, the annual
trip is almost to a close, high spirits
echo through the flock, once again
traveling south for the winter.

Hi,
So beautifully put together that I'm almost perched
there - seeing them, hearing them, touching them...
and if only I could ... joining them!
