One Minute

Contributed by moonstone629 on Sunday, 13th April 2003 @ 08:35:00 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

You are popular
You are liked by everyone
You do not know
What it feels like
To be hurt

I envy
How naïve
You are
You don’t realize
How cruel
You can be
To you it’s just
A game,
All in fun
You don’t know
The pain
You cause

I wish
For one minute
You could feel the pain
Of everyone
You’ve taunted
And tormented

I wish
For one minute
You could be an outcast
Among those you so hate
Getting beaten in the halls,
Insulted in gym,
And spitballs being thrown at you
On the bus

Just for one minute
If you could see
What it’s like
To cry yourself to sleep
Every night
To long to be
Accepted
To long to be
Understood
To long to be
Loved

If you knew
What it’s like
To long
To be one of you
Then I could
Forgive you

Oh this is sad!! I went through this for a brief period of time when I was in school. Finally I took miss prissy sis head and planted it into her locker.
Not exactly the right thing to do but she wasn't a miss priss anylonger. All of her snooty friends ran away!! Things will be better. Ten years from now they will all be fat and ugly with a bum husband. You will still be beautiful inside and out!!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
