Vampira

Vampira

Shall I compare you to a summer’s rose?
Or perhaps to the insidious vampire bat?
You’ve sucked the financial life blood out of me
And your nose is small, podgy and flat.

At first I was mesmerised by your eyes.
Transfixed I could not possibly leave your side.
But then just imagine my total surprise
To find others along for the ride.

I suppose I’m lucky to be a banker
And privy to the debts of others’
Until I realised I was a wanker
And these poor saps were my adulterous “brothers”!

So I sit here lonely as a cloud, quite happy
As I’m in Barbados now with my embezzled fortune.
I sincerely hope that you’re feeling crappy
But it won’t take long to find another loon.

Hi,

Would I be right in guessing that this is directed to
an ex-partner of the female variety??

If so, been there, suffered similar bloodletting,
and have the torn Tshirt to prove it!

Out of chaos drips a little humour.

Spot on!

Tommy

What an off the wall hilarious write! It's a nice change to read something of new variety and you did that wonderfully here. Humor is never easy but you pulled it off and this was a joy to read.

take care

Oh wow. What a fun write. But just a sidebar to spud, (Tommy)... there are those of the male persuasion who are a breed of vampire all their own! :P

This flowed so well and that last stanza? Awesome! Especially that third line! :D I really enjoyed this post.

You've used humor to deliver a fantastic
piece about a topic that is much less than
funny. Glad you could see a silver lining.

(Sadly, it's not a phenomenon that is strictly
attached to the X chromosome.)

Great job!

Be well,
~Loende
