Isn't it just funny

We start life, its easy. We take it for granted, only idolising the elder, the grown and the wise. Its who we want to be. We some-what waste parts of our childhood's watching these people grow trying to mimic thier every move. We see our parents or maybe even a movie where two share a moment, fall madly in love, have a hicupp and then find each other again ultimately getting married and living happily ever after. As the days turn to years and we march single file from childhood wishes to adulthood's realisations, we find these people we have been longing for. We date, we have the hicupp and we lose them forever. These are the moments where we look down at our childhood selves and idolise the little 7 year old with his ball, wasting time so he can grow-up. His simplicity is what we envy and our complicated life is what he is looking forward too.
Isn't it just funny how life can just take all the simple pleasures?

Isn't ignorance bliss?? You've sumarized the pains of life perfectly here. With more freedom comes more responsibilty. But how are we to explain that to our 7 year old selves, whose eyes hunger for the taste of everything they are now denied? Yes, funny indeed. But who's laughing?
Very provocative write. Thanks for sharing. :)
