You can't explain something like this
It is the wind that pulled you into a hurricane
It's that moment when you look into a newborns eyes
When you can taste something violent in the air
You can smell the sweetness
So strong you'll be on the verge of tears
It's that time you got a rose, from someone so dear
And that time you pricked your finger on its thorn
It's the silver lining on the storm clouds
Up above your head
It is the smell of fresh rain on pavement
That feeling in your stomach, when you go down a hill too fast
It's the loathing and the loving
The lust seeping from your pores
It's the bad feelings and gut reactions
A nervous first kiss, and a secret told
The feeling when your lover runs their hands down your body
It's the good and the bad and everything in between
The blood, the tears, the laughs, the screams
It's something I can't explain

A whole gamut of feelings, strength and sensitivity, comfortable and uncomfortable but still the ingredients for making us feel so alive, in order to soar in the light we must also experience the darkness, thus the ravens. |

To me this poem is simply the feeling of living. It's the feeling of true life.
Good write I really enjoyed it.
Unknown to myself,

I think of death -- how its existence intensifies the moments in life and perhaps even brings them meaning. Beyond that, only feelings come to mind, the poem seems to be centered on emotion rather than anything quantifiable. |
