YOU WOULD ALWAYS BE ALONE

Contributed by chrisdavid on Monday, 5th April 2010 @ 11:45:36 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

They said that you were crazy
They said that you were mad
They said that you cared for no-one
And that your life was sad

But they didn't know the real you
The face behind the mask
So many things left unanswered
And questions never asked

They said that you were stupid
They said you were a joke
They said that you were selfish
And that you weren't like other folk

You tried to change your ways
But change was not for you
You liked the way you lived your life
So it didn't matter what they knew

You still have a future
Of that I'm in no doubt
But you must lock away those voices
And never let them out

They said that you were old
They said that you were cold
They said that your heart was made of stone
They said you couldn't read
They said you didn't bleed
And that you would always be alone

They said you never cried
They said that you lied
But if only the truth had been known
You tried your very best
To be like all the rest
But you knew that you would always be alone

Bullying a very sad element of human nature,as you have written destructive in the long term, sounds like you may have belief in them so maybe thats all it takes to make life tolerable and liveable.

The consequential magnitude of bullying is so under estimated. It can burn bridges very quickly,
with seemingly no other escape route offered where it is needed most.
A very sad tale, admirably written x
