Numb.

Contributed by canyouhearme on Monday, 5th April 2010 @ 04:02:10 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

When the one person who 'loves' you...
Walks away.
When the sun doesn't come out...
So the moon desides to stay.
When it seems nobody understands you...
You begin to fade.
The day I need support.
The day I need your love.
Is the day the world seemed to have turned it's back on me.
My friends? They're all too busy.
My family? Too caught up in the future.
Myself? Too numb to feel. Too hurt to care. To dead to live.

I can hear you on this poem,
this is a poem that most can relate too at some point in their lives.

We all can get lost at times, but whats amazing is the path most of the time is right in front of us..

Thanks for Sharing... Loved the Poem

~Bin~

Truly and deeply emotional. One of those pleasing poems that lets us know, we are not alone in our miseries. I agree with Bin. So many can relate, (not that it's any consolation when one is going through something of this magnitude). Well written and painfully emotive. Have a smile. The moon has her pros and can be a very affecting muse. ;)

It's always hard to be hurt that much...
though harder still to let others see it, so I
applaud your bravery.

Remember though, that if they can walk away,
they weren't meant to be there in the first
place. Be strong and know that the hurt
will fade.

Be well,
~Loende

Such an appropriate description, numb. Thats exactly what tends to happen when this path greets your feet. Your words have so much truth and i really enjoyed reading this poem. Well written

Trying to reach out emotionally to have someone support you and finding that the world is too busy, leaving you floundering in utter helplessness, rendering you unable to leave the downward spiral of despair, forced eventually to either sink or move forward and embrace change.
