A Thundering Opera

Contributed by jmorrison94 on Monday, 5th April 2010 @ 03:02:55 PM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

the clouds are sinking
into a deep poetic trance
rain is falling onto the ground
and upon my naked feet

a thousand rain drops clapping
an enchanting mystic tune
that fills the air up there
to flood my entire street

Drip, Drop, Drip, Drop

a symphonic lullaby
only played by the Gods
which ringing in my head
is pulling me to sleep

a million raindrops smacking
playing the beats of nature
but tonight i sit the musical alone
with no one here, i begin to weep

Drip, Drop, Drip, Drop

Rejoice Now!
the sky is darkening
my beautifully operated orchestra
is rising into a climax

a billion raindrops pounding
hitting harder as they fall
larger drops are bounding
thunder is booming at max!

Drip, Drop, Drip, Drop

but my opera has stopped
its what people fear most
i find beauty in the ending though
but wish for more to come

no more rain drops are pounding
snapping, clapping, or smacking
i am bored of the sunshine
until the next showing, i quietly hum

No More..
Drip, Drop, Drip, Drop
