Sunlight streams through the curtains reflecting off pictures, and as I watch the dust particles float around, it’s as if pixies are there pointing out the promises of another day.
But promises are broken, so I turn my gaze to the flowers sitting on the piano. Off falls a petal, drifting slowly to the floor, and I think this is how my life is. Once attached to a thing of beauty and now falling, twirling down to who knows where.
And I wish, but wishes are past. I don’t believe anymore.

A beautiful write that radiates sadness and a loss of hope. Petals falling from a piano your imagery is delicate and quite precious. This is well written and thank you for sharing.
take care
