Going so fast you could not stop
You had to reach that mountain top
But the hills were very steep
This was your dream
And it was yours to keep
You worked so hard to have it all
But how the rich and mighty fall
You lost everything reaching for the gold
This was your dream
But now you're too old
You dedicate, you set your goals
And one by one knock down your foes
You feel you have reached your destiny
This was my dream
But I dreamed for eternity
You see I hoped this wouldn't be
That you become another me
A trier who never quite made it there
Yes, I had a dream
And I tell you this because I really care
I sense
Deja vu
I've seen it all before
From the good and the great
You want that bit more
You've searched all your life
But your life's not that bad
So pick yourself up
Put those dreams away
Forget about tomorrow
And live for today
To yourself be true
Because I sense
Deja vu

So true, how often do we hear of people who forget to live their life in pursuit of riches, fame, fortune.
think we need to take in the last verse.
"So pick yourself up
Put those dreams away
Forget about tomorrow
And live for today
To yourself be true
Because I sense
Deja vu"
