Mistaken

Contributed by BrandenW13 on Friday, 2nd April 2010 @ 04:57:44 PM in AEST
Topic: anguished

I must have thought,
foolishly,
as I normally do.

Because I thought,
there was,
a chance for us.

I was mistaken.

How could I believe,
that I could,
be happily in love.

I should have known,
like always,
that I mean nothing.

Because I was mistaken.

So I live on,
for another,
lonesome, depressed, miserable day.

Things would be,
different if,
I would have never fooled myself.

i can relate to this...you're not alone in this one
it happens to all of us, we hate rejection,
but it's better to hav taken
a good chance than none at all.
just keep trying, you'll be surprised by your own potential
hope to read more of your poems...

take care

A realization that we are not sought by the one we seek. It takes bravery to admit what we already know but it is a step to future. Difficult to accept it may be but strength develops in time. Heartfelt and very touching.

take care

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
