The Human Race

Contributed by Samsara on Wednesday, 31st March 2010 @ 07:46:00 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Full of joyful, happy youth
The screams and yells of your first tooth
A skip and a jump as you travel to school
Enjoy it while it lasts you stupid fool

It wont be long before you see
A different world of misery
A harsh and desolate, unforgiving place
That has been formed by the human race

No one cares without a doubt
As the problems very rapidly sprout
Help me someone, im knee deep in sand
But no one is there to give you a hand

The waves crash hoplessly over your head
As the tide moves in and your shoes full of lead
There is no escape, nowhere you can go
As the problems keep coming in an endless flow

No light can get though, as the black clouds move in
He is the one that carrys the grin
Give me your money he says with a smile
He doesn't need it, as it goes on his pile

Writhing away into an endless hole
You have nothing left except for your soul
Maybe better places that could lye ahead
Your about to find out because now you are dead.

I know what you mean. I feel the same - ashamed of the human race. At least you're not alone.

Yes this world is and always was broken. All things that can exist in the universe do exist and you reside in the same space as I do. But there are other worlds among us and we can travel there using a number of modes of transport. If you find the way first please let me know how.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
