We are young, me and you,
Two singular hearts, as we stand.
No promises, no demands,
Love is our battle, our outlet,
We are strong, our love cripples us.
You beg me to go, you make me stay,
Why do you hurt me so bad?
I know I stand in your way, I drag you back,
But girl, I solemnly believe, I am the best to be had,
I can't tell you why I love you, but baby, I do, and it's true.
We were given only half a heart each, so we can find each other, and join them.
You turn me away, touching my soul,
I feel like I die,
I feel I've lost control,
I need you,
To hold.
We are our own love generation,
Lacing our lives in our love sensation,
Breaking free in a lay up position,
Winning my love, and my money.
Girl, I know you feel as I do,
Don't leave in disarray,
Run from your feelings,
Love me, and I will love you back.
