Like a statue,
Ridged I stood
Nothing moving me---
Then he came along.
For him I was reanimated;
Unable to refuse his touch on my stony skin.
His passion ignited within myself a spark of spirit;
His voice whispered, "I redeem you love"
Sending me into a tailspin of happiness.
How could I relinquish such a wonder as he,
Falling backwards into a lifetime of yet more silence?
The answer I think is plain to see-----
He was the antidote to my curse;
My refund concerning lonliness,
And my reason to exist as woman,
Not as an object to be admired then abandoned----
He is my soulmate pure and simple.
