the world sound asleep in absurd dreams,
ruthlessly to me the task undone screams,
back lying in that same old bitter shade,
coming to terms with what i've once forbade.
you hold me and wrap your arms 'round mine,
turning all bitterness to sweet vibes,
the melody of one quarter the years,
of all we've had in this earth,
gleefully playing in morbid resonance,
but we tell our conscience,
time is the healer of everything.
as we transcend to move out of loathing,
the suns glory shines onto us blazing,
enduring a momentary sweet awakening,
only to find it disappear,
but, we're not fools as we may appear.
distance blurs the once clear facade,
you who were flawless since conceived,
the heart stabbed with a dagger, now scarred,
lost it's beauty as once perceived.
hurt yourself, but kill the rest with you,
or live and reminisce all that is true.
of warm lush meadows gold and green,
beneath the dawny sky, half an orange sun unveils,
away from the sick world of greed,
escape at last to where love prevails,
far from this bitter shady affair,
where warmth burns off the cold air.
