Play the drums for here I come,
Pick up your pipes for here I turn,
Like a flower that’s found its sun,
I will dance for ye,
Wild and free,
A dance upon your heart,
To sweep you off your feet.
Tune your flute for here I stir,
Tap your hands for here I am,
Like a flower that’s found its sun,
I will dance for ye,
Swaying to and fro,
To the beat of the song, here I go,
A dance upon your heart,
To set your cheeks aglow.
So, nod your head,
Clear your throat,
Stretch out your arms,
And twirl me around,
For like a flower that’s found its sun,
I will dance for ye
And steal your heart away.

I could live well in your imagery. My soul seems to fit there, not in the cant and tapestry of recent years.
Perhaps the blood of ancient Irish/Scottish ancestors is stirred by your poems |
