Lost in my confusion

Consumed with regret

Looking for the answers

that have not come to me yet.

Swimming in my tears while

dancing in my sorrow.

My heart aches for you now

but how will I feel tomorrow?

The past has done us wrong

Can we ever make it right?

The future that we hold is still nowhere in sight.

The things that I want,

The things that you need,

Therein lies the question

Will we ever succeed?

What are we fighting for?

Do we even know?

Is it that we want to hold on

or can we just not let go?

I close my eyes to follow the winding path of my mind.

So dark and lost in my confusion,

Looking for the answers I have yet to find.
