You’ve gained the golden key
Spread fear
And lusted for jealousy
We Die
All you stars
Flashed too brightly
We were never even aware
Adding to the misery
The levels of stock depleted
Repeated
Until it all goes away
Take that picture then
Remember it well
Sealed our place
We have done
Secured thine make-believe hell
But the dust of then now does willow
Lightly on the frozen fields
A million tattered shards
Of a potential paradise
Gone forever
Was there a point
Some would say
But the lives of tears
That puddled into a river
Saw the light of day
Gleaming off the sky rise beam
Until it trickled gone past all the decay
Only to evaporate
No different from what was already there
Humanities legacy
A scarred earth
Never to be seen again
Beneath the undergrowth
