11. (Arguing with my friend Moonqueen).
Sore throats, fevers, headaches,
Noses that run for SEVEN days
Often make us stay at home
When winter frosts begin to roam.
12. (Arguing with my friend Moonqueen).
Southern buds, you find abhorrent
Nordic freshening cold.
Open our Russian vodka
Which can make you bold.
13. (Arguing with my friend Moonqueen).
Sneezing, coughing dear Queen
Noticed nothing good in snow.
Only bad traits can be seen
When you feel you’ll get a cold.
14. (Arguing with my friend Moonqueen).
Snowballs have been served.
Now Moonqueen looks too hurt.
Oh my! I had to say,
“Winter moonlit nights are great”.
15. (Arguing with my friend Moonqueen).
Shivering among fir-trees,
Nagging at the ringing frost
Occidental people ask me
What they should like winter for.
Soothing them I can think of
Nothing but the thing you know.
Occurred first, this very snow
Wrapped in mystery does work.
16.
Somewhere beyond the sky
Nameless silence beautifies
Outspread forests, fields and hills.
Winter, how you appease!
17.
Something’s going wrong!
Nearly all the snow is gone!
On this gloomy morning
Winter… hem… rains are pouring!!!
18.
Snow, thanks for coming back.
Naughty winds and cunning Jack
Ought to help us to delight
Wondrous pictures at first light.
19.
Springs look marvelous under glassy ice.
Near them bushes are strange and nice
On sunny days, when the air’s clear,
When a breeze makes their branches shiver.
20.
Sincerely painted pictures
Nature will work hard at.
Odd plants and unreal creatures
Will be on panes. Fancy that!
