Allegory of the Advent

Contributed by Auston on Saturday, 20th March 2010 @ 06:08:04 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

We will consume this wretched night…
We will devour this tenebrous dark…
We will gorge ourselves on the absence of the dawn’s rays…
The Dark Advent will rule…
And I shall make sure of it…

Niisonam…
These melodious hymns spark thoughts
Of wonder and fascination…
Let this be a sign to all minions of the Dark Advent…
Heed the call of these harmonious impulses
And forever bask in His greatness…

The recession of light signals our time to advance
On those weary of intelligible normality…
We must strike at those whose menial souls
Amount to no more than the mindset of a nihilist…

Our curse is infinite…
An eternal suffering of blackness…
Light is our mortal enemy,
And we shall see to it that it does not surmount
To anything on this plane of existence!
We shall conquer all behind the shadows of Niisonam!

The enmity of His grace is quite preposterous
Even to my own ingenuity...
Let the effluvium rise from a thousand cadavers
Who fell before the Advent's might...
Behold the curse-bearers
Who willingly give themselves to our ranks...
The myriads of afflicted that stand before you
Will stop at nothing until all light is extinguished...

Brethren...
We must pervade this bastion and attain ascendancy!
For in this final instance,
Our legacy will live on through our sycophants...
Niisonam...
Bless us with your mastery of the night...
Let us be swift brothers,
For the light's punishment is not so pleasant...

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
