Mummy, I can’t sleep.
Sshh don’t speak,
You’ll wake up this sleeping house.
But Mummy,
Where’s your dummy?
And your teddy?
I want Daddy.
He’s at work,
Now I’ll tuck you in, under the cosy covers.
I want to play with a toy.
Hush! My little boy,
Why won’t you sleep?
Are you hot, are you cold?
I can’t sleep Mummy, because tomorrow,
I will be 5 years old.
