I've just found the melody I've been looking for
Now all I need is the words
But I've been searching for that bit more
Something that hasn't been heard
I want to write about you now
Before you throw in the towel
I want nothing to be wrong
When there's a tear in your eye
Then you'll realise why
I'm trying to write the saddest song
We all know what you've been through
You're just looking for peace of mind
But there is nothing you can do
I'm sure you'll recover in time
Forget I tell you not
But the crying must please stop
Please will you stay strong
When there's a tear in your eye
Then you'll realise why
I'm trying to write the saddest song
