I Died Twice Today

This morning I saw you,
and my breath ran away.
In that moment I realized,
That I would die twice today.
As I stood there gasping,
for my next fleeting breath,
you then started to speak.
Which saved me from death.
And we talked there for hours,
about nothing at all.
You spoke and I listened,
and I started to fall.
As fast as it started,
it would suddenly end.
Because when you left me,
I then died again.

Simly brilliant.
Well written,
great imagery as I could visulise
two people standing there,
talking, the intimacy these words evoke
and then
"Because when you left me, I then died again".
Amazing how one person can mke us feel alive.
