This is the nevermind...
The part when we turn our eyes into our heads
And listen to the sound of breaking bones
I can still see the impressions in our beds
Where we laid those nights and talked on phones
The stories bled right through our skin
And stained the sheets with imagination
We lived in a time where we could only win
And admire the tolls of our creations
"My love is near and here to stay"
A glob of words with such desire
Oblivious, I could only kneel down and pray
That no winds of wrath would extinguish the fires
But we were wrong, so wrong and incomplete
And we fell with haste straight from the skies
That once held our bodies so dearly, so sweet
For the first time feeling the weight in our eyes
This is the part when we slip too far
And become the things we never dreamt
I can still see our souls living in those jars
Trapped in a life that was never meant
