Silent Crowd
A mother’s voice,
A child’s laugh,
A dog’s bark,
A cat’s purr,
Sounds surround me,
As I stand in this crowd,
All awhile I’m screaming,
No one seems to hear me.
A mother’s scream,
A child’s silence,
A dog’s growl,
A cat’s hiss,
The crowd disperses franticly,
Something is amiss,
Finally, they notice,
The laugh is a fake,
Though the silence is real.

Hi,
To be in the midst of sights and sounds and yet
to feel only ...... isolation. The worst kind of
lonliness.
I like its style.

Wonderfully written. So concise, yet so open-ended. Much enjoyed.
