Comfort Me Lord

Please comfort me Lord,
Through life’s many endeavors,
Keep me safe and guide me,
In this world I walk in of yours.

Though my heart may be heavy,
My burdens sometimes many,
In your arms I feel loved,
Your wonders of plenty.

Please comfort me in all of life's trials,
When darkness fills my world,
Show me the light you shine,
Joy and happiness as your child.

Your wonders and gifts are all around me,
In a world full of strife,
Open my eyes and give me comfort,
So I may share your everlasting life.

There is a reason for everything you do,
My life is yours to command,
So watch over and comfort me Lord,
In a world I do not understand.
