Sitting there, silently
Observing the world, quietly
Everyone's chatting, blissfully unaware-
Someone's looking, constantly aware.
Do you ever look around?
Or are you really just so blind?
'Cause while I notice
Everything, including you-
I cannot decipher the mystery
That is you.
The day goes by, you remain
Same as before;
Time – the precious domain,
You ignore it, you do.
It has no effect on you-
You laugh, you laugh,
Never feeling blue,
Oh, that is so good for you.
And so the time has passed,
Certain things have happened not-
We must part – no way around it, no plot.
Sitting there, silently
Observing the world, quietly,
A world without you.
A bird once leaves it's nest,
Never to come back.
That's what happened on that sunny spring.
When you went off like a King,
And me, watching your departing back,
Dreaming when will you come back,
Realizing something terrifying,
Yet so painfully mundane.
Bitter smile spreads across my face,
The same that I used on you, my dear,
When you looked at me, in the past,
And told me, this friendship – it won't last.
Standing there, with a mask that is my life,
Saying, 'Good luck.'
And nothing more.

Well what can I say! I think, for your first poem, you have really given a great deal of yourself to the page......
Opening yourself up to the devil's cauldren if you will! This is a great pouring of the soul, kind of lost in the smog of love
and emotion that true heartfelt feelings bring.
Nicely written! I liked it x
