~ Casting Petals ~

Contributed by laststarontheleft on Tuesday, 16th March 2010 @ 10:22:55 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I give these petals to the breeze
And watch them whisp toward the trees
Up, up they flutter, with perfect grace
I've sent them to seek out a special place

A place where only dreams come true
With fluffy white clouds, and a sky, azure blue
There's a stream with a meadow that Hummingbirds share
Whilst the sweet scent of bluebells, carresses the air

These petals are meant, by just one to be seen
So with graceful descent, ends their quest for a dream
They've travelled so far, from beyond and above
If they fall at your feet, I have found you, my love.......

Star, this reminds me of one of my favourite movies. --Practical Magic. The scene where young Sally works a spell and the petals are carried up into the skies by a soft breeze. >
This was exceptionally lovely. As gentle as the petals themselves. I love the potency of your imagery. :)

Hi,

I can't help getting the image of you prancing
across the meadows in celebration of the arrival
of Spring! Words paint images, and they're your
words - and well crafted too.

Nice one, dancer!

I fell for this piece
it's not often we see that soft vulnerable side of life
It really is a bless to escape the chaos, if only for a while
beautifuly written
