PLEASE DON'T FORGIVE HIM

Contributed by chrisdavid on Tuesday, 16th March 2010 @ 07:49:14 AM in AEST
Topic: goodbyepoetry

I know it's not easy
After all that he's done
But look at the pain
He has caused everyone
So I'm telling you right now
Please don't forgive him

He'll take your belongings
And hide them away
And when you confront him
He'll deny what you say

He sneaks home at night time
He's stinking of drink
You argue 'til sunrise
No-one sleeps a wink
The more you believe what he says
The longer the days
Don't let this go on

He'll leave for a few weeks
And won't even call
Then he'll just come back
Because he thinks you're a fool

He's some mother's son
He's somebody's friend
I'm sure they didn't think
This is how it would end
But I can't give you any sympathy
I wish you could see
It's better off this way

You've learnt a lesson
I know it's hard to take
After all of the misery
A fresh start you can make
So I'm telling you once more
Please don't forgive him

That crazy thing called Love means that the heart will continue to have someone back time and time again even if that somebody will destroy them,I have seen this in a friend's life and in my work life, and I know the yearning of those who care to want to protect and stop the cycle of pain.... please don't forgive him....well written

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
